Event management and marketing support to promote the Singapore Business Brand in Japan – Upwork

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB, www.edb.gov.sg), a government agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, is responsible for strategies that enhance Singapore’s position as a global centre for business, innovation, and talent.

We undertake investment promotion and industry development in the manufacturing and internationally tradeable services sectors. Industries within our purview account for more than a third of Singapore’s annual GDP.

EDB's International Marketing division drives our events and content development initiatives to raise awareness of Singapore as an investment location in key markets like Southeast Asia.

We are looking for a marketing freelancer to support our regional marketing directors in the following workstreams:

1) Copy and banner development for events
2) Event publicity: Issuing personal invitations to companies and partners; setting up email and social media publicity
3) Developing event operations/logistics plans, procuring suitable logistics for events (including, but not limited to, F&B and rental)
4) Data backfill for event leads, if required
5) Sponsorship sourcing, assessment and clearance
6) Proofread articles translated into a Japanese by our agency. Business proficiency in Japanese and familiarity with business terms are required.
